5 Chome-1-8 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan
I visited this vegan restaurant yesterday and was generally pleased with the experience. The food was well-presented and tasted good, showcasing thoughtful preparation and attention to detail. The service was equally commendable, with friendly and attentive staff ensuring we were well taken care of. However, we were seated outdoors, which, given the current chilly winter weather in Tokyo, made the experience less comfortable than it could have been. While the ginger drink was a nice addition to the menu, I found it far too sweet for my liking.
We came here without no reservation on a weekday around 2pm but we still waited around 20-30 minutes. Didn’t think it would be this crowded. But with this quality of food I think it’s worth it. My mom who only eats brown rice was so happy to find this restaurant. I want to share this place with my vegan / vegetarian friends too! Will be back again.
Fresh, simple ingredients masterfully combined to create complex dishes to be enjoyed in the peaceful garden area or indoors. As a vegetarian (not vegan), I didn’t feel like the eggs or dairy were missing from the dishes at all. They were tasty all on their own! Gluten free items were not labeled, but the staff were knowledgeable about menu items that were safe or not. I went with the seasonal vegetable curry with rice, that is already completely gluten free. I was told the other lunch options may be made gluten free without the sauce (soy sauce containing). Sadly, we had to skip out on dessert for time reasons, but they did have a fully vegan and gluten free dessert menu also! As a bonus, the outdoor seating area was heated, next to an essential oil store that provided a relaxing aroma, and absolutely beautiful with all the plants filling the area. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone celiac and/or vegetarian travelling looking for lunch in Tokyo. It would be best, however, to make a reservation. We were lucky to walk in and get a table right away, but there was a quite a line by the time we were done our meal. Happy eating!
Bussin meal. We waited in the online queue around 20 mins (there are seats outside for people queueing). Even though people left, I think the staff were a bit slow to clean up the tables, so we waited for longer than I thought necessary. But the food made up for this, as this was a very wholesome meal. We got two seasonal vegetables lunch sets and everything was immaculate. I specifically loved their tofu - whatever sauce they used was so good. The staff speak good English and explained our dishes to us. The environment of the restaurant is also 5 stars: seating and bathroom is nice.
We visited this vegan restaurant for lunch. The ambience is pleasant and peaceful. While waiting for our order, we browsed through some books at our table. The meal sets were delicious, with a delicate and refined taste. The matcha drink was excellent too. Service was very good and all the staff were friendly. We enjoyed our meal here and would recommend it highly to those looking for a healthy meal.
