We visited the new location with my sons 10 and 12. We got to pick out our own kimonos, belts, jackets, and equipment from various colors patterns and sizes. This is not a one size fits all type of place. They measure you to get the perfect fit and we all looked the part. We met my wife in the lobby, she looked amazing and we walked over to the tea ceremony. This was an experience to remember. The dressing up by itself was worth it. Highly recommend.

We had a beautiful experience with the Kimono Tea House. Sakura and Misaki held a very educational, engaging sweet-making wagashi class. The tea ceremony was calm and quite a peaceful experience. I always wanted to attend a traditional tea ceremony so this opportunity was a great teaching intro. The classes fill up fast so instead of the regular tea ceremony class, I booked the sweet-making and tea ceremony class that included a kimono rental. You can arrive or check-in about 10 minutes before your class begins. From there they allowed the women to get ready on the 2nd floor and men on the 1st floor. The process of kimono dressing was efficient and easy to follow through. You separate your belongings in a secure space via bag and they provide a purse to which you may place phone, wallet, etc. to bring with you to the ceremony. From there, multiple attendants guide you from dressings, you pick your kimono to rent, and they dress you and assemble a beautiful updo or hair arrangement. Once everyone is dressed, the class begins in a building right next to the check-in. From there Sakura and Misaki led the sweet-making tutorial. It was so lovely to see everyone’s works of art! The white bean and red bean paste was yummy!! After the sweets we had our tea ceremony.

It was an amazing experience and something that my husband and I will remember forever. Our tea host Misaki was amazing from start to end and educated us on tea culture that makes so much sense from what we’ve heard. Thank you so much again and we’ll definitely recommend and come back!

Amazing experience! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to get an insight about the Japanese traditional tea ceremony. This spot is very popular so make sure that you book in advance. I did the traditional Japanese sweets making class as well as the tea ceremony and it was amazing. The ladies did our hair and then let us choose our kimonos and helped us put them on! Unforgettable experience!

I found them searching on Google maps tea ceremony and took one by one all the websites to compare the prices, timing, and the services provided. They also have different locations, very useful to choose the one near to your accommodation. You have plenty of model to choose from, they provide you shoes and socks, prepare your hair and have the tea ceremony. I enjoyed the experience and was the first time wearing a kimono. While you are waiting to can take photos and after the ceremony they have few spots to make good photos.
