Played Lakes and Coast on a Sunday. Very quiet, excellent solo flight kicking off at 8am. Started at the range, which is great to warm up, then hit the Lakes course. At some points, it felt like I was alone on the course! Pretty decently maintained. One green had track marks on it, which was weird. Otherwise, the greens were pure. I personally had trouble reading them and getting the speed right. Well, the challenge was real! Coast course didn't have as much Coast as I was expecting. One hole was literally on the Coast where you can see the beach... and that's it. Which was a bit disappointing. Still... a good, challenging 9 holes. Facilities are top-notch. Practice greens and range are the best I've seen in this neck of the woods. Only a few people at Big Easy after the round, service a bit slow, but the beer is cold. The food is nothing to write home about, but it is well priced. Maybe i ordered the wrong things... Anyway, I would definitely come back for another weekend and play all the courses plus the Valley course.

Visited for Christmas breakfast and dinner. Excellent service and of course the food. I particularly like the lamb chop. Nicely done and the sauce has a tint of mint. Thanks to everyone here that made our Christmas memorable.

Beautiful golf course in Johor! Really worth to come and enjoy a weekend with friends and family. The cost is on a high side compare to other golf course in Johor but the environment and the service here is really high standard also. Definitely recommend every golfer to try this.

Booked a Stay & Play with the Els Club at Desaru. It was a 1 night 2 day stay at the Westin with 2 games of golf. Service from Vijay, manager of the Els Club was excellent. We had a slight mishap in Singapore and had to delay our trip by one day. Vijay contacted me in Singapore and rearranged everything. He even offered to contact the ferry service to rebook the ferry tickets from Singapore to Desaru. On the day of our arrival, we played at the Ocean Course. It was an easy and very forgiving course that you can enjoy. My only complaint is that I only saw the ocean from 1 hole. Next day, we played at the Valley Course with lots of ups and downs and lots and lots of bunkers. It was challenging, especially back nine. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the course. Staff are very friendly. Services were great. Our names were on the lockers and on the golf cart. The cart has on board GPS, and you can drive your cart on the course right next to your ball, so you can know the exact distance between your ball and the center of the green. Caddy fees are slightly high, MYR 150 with a minimum tip of MYR 50. Going from and to the ferry terminal was very easy. We took the Els Club bus from the terminal to Club upon arrival and from the Club to terminal for our departure. The restaurant at the Ocean Course was fancier. The restaurant at the Valley Course was more intimate. Food was excellent and reasonable. We would definitely come back. BTW, we saw some resident wildlife, too.

Played 28 Mar 25 Staff - warm and friendly Premise - vast and nice. Well cleaned. Registration - fast and no hassle. MGK memebers (SGP) get preferred rates Lockers - clean and well maintained Buggy - our had a little issue with brakes Course - bunkers were not great, some are water logged. Fairway - quite well maintained. Greens - quite well maintained. Tee box - OK. An incident happened with some rouge monkeys. So to other soon to be players be on a lookout. Club house food was good and ok priced. Again, staff were great. Overall it's a very good place to play golf. Lucky for us it was empty that day so game time was great! So we will be back for sure as at the moment it's worth the bucks for us. Only that it takes about 90 minutes from our house in SG to drive over.
