75 Masuyacho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, 604-8111, Japan
Great, very reasonably priced boutique hotel in a great location. I had looked at staying at a hip international chain hotel around the corner but was glad to stay in a more intimate, domestically owned hotel. The fit out is cool and beds comfy. We stayed in a spacious loft room with bunks. Lovely staff too.
A fantastic hotel in a great location. The rooms are immaculate, and the staff provided exceptional support, especially with our late check-in and any inquiries. Highly recommend!
Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. The hotel has a lounge area with a kitchenette (microwave, stove, sink, and some dishes) which makes it a great place to have a quick meal in the hotel. Rooms were a bit on the small side (even after considering Japanese standards). There was no closet and after opening our 4 pieces of luggage (in a 4-bed room) we had to carefully walk so as not to bump into things. The restaurant's food and drink were below average (the ham sandwich was good though), and the choice of ambient music was very bad. Location was great. Close to the Nishiki market, coffeshops, bakeries, and all kinds of other shops.
Beautiful trendy hotel that included everything that we needed for our stay in Kyoto. A fantastic cafe and clothing store on the ground floor of the hotel, wonderful kind staff, laundry facilities, kitchen facilities and really clean modern rooms (with a mini bath!). I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know. I would recommend not purchasing breakfast here and trying all the cafes locally instead, but trying the coffee instead.
