The location is super convenient, right in the center of Kyoto city and about a 15 minute walk from the nearest station. We also got a great deal since we booked last minute, making it even more worth it! One of the best things about this place is the room setup. Each room comes with a kitchen, which is really useful for longer stays. The interior design is beautiful, featuring traditional Japanese elements that create such a peaceful and cozy atmosphere. A fun little touch was the Japanese Jenga placed on the living room table, perfect for playing with friends and adding to the relaxing vibe. Another big plus is the rental bike service, which makes exploring Kyoto even more convenient. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable, and authentic Kyoto experience!

I stayed for a night with my 2 other ladies in their futon beds room. The room was a bit small but cozy. Location of the hotel is walking distance to shopping street and Nishiki market. What I love most about this hotel is their staff is very good. The front desk staff, Mr Chiu was very helpful in giving us recommendation and book taxi for us and even explain the exact place to drop us to the taxi driver. Thank you!

We stayed in the traditional Japanese room and everything was great. Very clean, the floor mattresses were comfortable, and the area is quiet and you easily reach the main shopping district by foot. Staff speaks good English and very helpful. Recommended.

Incredible hospitality. This machiya is really cute. The staff are friendly and very detail oriented. I don’t usually ask for room cleaning for a 3-4 day stay. They are. The only hotel ever to provide fresh change of towel and coffee daily without me having to ask. The onsite washer and dryer also makes life on the road so much easier. I’d definitely come back’

Its really in the heart of Kyoto and the staff are very helpful and nice. They have luggage forwarding, bike rentals, complimentary laundry and a nice lounge. The room was big and clean. Breakfast was a highlight, so tasty and nutritious (and it changes every 3 days or so). They also bring it to your room at your selected time. 10/10 thank you!
