We spent five days over the New Year period at this hotel . The hotel is located in the jungle, yet it’s only a 15-minute drive to the city, where you can easily find cozy cafes and clinics if needed, with no issues at all. We would like to specifically highlight the excellent service. Room cleaning was performed very quickly and efficiently by a team of 4-5 people, who were meticulous and careful in their work. We are especially grateful for the thoughtful surprises from the hotel, such as chocolates, fruits, or small souvenirs, which made our stay even more enjoyable. All our requests were promptly addressed, ensuring our experience was as comfortable as possible. The hotel grounds are beautifully green and well-maintained. We particularly enjoyed the caves and small thermal pools, which were delightful for a warm soak in the evenings—a very pleasant way to relax. The only drawback we noticed was the restaurant. The menu is predominantly focused on European dishes, and while the food was good, we felt it could use an update. Given the richness of Asian cuisine, it would have been wonderful to see more local dishes included. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel!
The Banjaran is amazing from every aspect. The staff were all happy, polite, and always helpful in all aspects of our stay. From re-arranging our booking, to special touches for my wife's birthday and the special buggy pick-up service, everything was perfect. Jeff's Chefs in the kitchen were also amazing, preparing and presenting some brilliant dishes. The location is absolutely beautiful, with well maintained paths joining a variety of caves, jungle walks and thermal springs, which were very relaxing. The massages were also a highlight, with the Aromatherapy Massage being sensational. I was super impressed by The Banjaran. It is quite expensive, but well worth a visit.
An amazing and highly recommended retreat. Whilst it is tucked on the edge of Ipoh, once you are behind the gates you are immersed into a secluded jungle niche and feel miles from anywhere. The villas and the various spa and pool facilities kept us happy within the grounds for several days/nights, enjoying some massage therapy, yoga, and the fish pond. We filled up on food and refreshments at our leisure at the excellent restaurant; Breakfast was a particular highlight for options and value, while our evening meals in the lakeside bungalows were another highlight. All of the service was impeccable and very hospitable, with willingness to go the extra distance. They were even very efficient in organising a car transfer for us to and from Banjaran via KL and back got the airport, plus happily arranged return post of some items we left behind in the library after a reading session.
Celebrated our anniversary in The Banjaran. Very very nice place by Sunway group. A huge place that consist of many mountains and caves inside. The villas are spacious especially the one at booked comes with 2 pools. 1 is with normal water while the other is with geothermal water. Staffs are very attentive and the service is commendable. This place is literally huge enough to spend the whole day exploring in there without getting out the resort. Highly recommended.
Our first time at Banjaran, and I am quite sure won't be our last ?. We decided for a short honeymoon trip right after our wedding since we will be planning for bigger one end year. Glad we chose Banjaran for a 3-night stay! We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful towel swans/peacocks(?), rose petals and cake! We got the "smallest" villa which was the Lake Villa but it's not small at all! The room had a huge 4-poster bed, a balcony which oversees the lake, a private small pool AND natural hot spring tub! We loved that the room has a high ceiling and we can Bluetooth our devices for music to the speakers in the room. It was wonderful! We appreciate the buggy rides we get to and from our rooms - as the villa we got is quite a distant from the main reception. We loved that in the premise of the resort we can have a dip in the natural hot spring (though we have one in our own villa, it still is nice to be out and surround by nature), we can dip our feet in the fish spa, we can have a walkabout in the pebbled wading "pool".. I loved the idea of the semi buffet during breakfast as we can choose anything from the menu and have multiple orders...for three mornings, we enjoyed all that we ordered! The staff at the resort are all very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Special mention to Verone, Bella, Albert, Susan - all from front desk, and Apple from the restaurant, Pomelo. Really enjoyed talking and interacting with them! Just minor feedback - we wish that the toilet has a normal bidet instead of the auto spray kind (haha personal preference). We wish that the AC has a remote control instead of us having to walk over to the wall to adjust the temperature. Our used utensils were not cleared for a whole day even though we left them outside our room, but this was cleared after we whatsapp them. We wish that the spa in the resort is not that costly - I would have loved to try it but an average massage almost cost like a night's stay at the villa! Other than that, we loved Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat!
