Wonderful location, close to the shimokita main area but far away enough to be quiet and peaceful. The staff are so lovely and the opportunity for dog watching in the mornings is amazing. The rooms are well sized - for what other places we experienced in Japan, we were pleasantly surprised how well the room size accommodated for two people plus suitcases. Really cool capsule art collections in the hotel store which added to its uniqueness. Would gladly stay again and can't recommend it enough!

Absolutely loved our stay at The Mustard! The rooms are simple but provide what you need. It’s more of a boutique vibe than a big, city-centre skyscraper hotel - which suited us. Really enjoyed oat lattes and salmon bagels from hotel cafe before a day exploring the city. The outside area is a real morning sun trap! The locations is fantastic - only a few stops from the centre but offering some calm in a less busy and touristy part of Tokyo (the Shimokitazawa vintage shops are unrivalled). The bar next to the hotel is a hidden gem - offering excellent craft beers with great music.

Mustard Hotel was perfect for us. The neighborhood was very mellow and chill. Can easily access the train. We got breakfast included and it was very convenient and decent bagels. If you like cute dogs, there is a group of locals that hang here with their dogs every morning, it’s so cute!
