Great hotel across the street from Central Station. In fact, you don't even need to cross the street as there is an underground walkway entrance, just outside the hotel entrance on railway Square . The hotel feels modern and clean. My room was an OK size for one person. The AC worked well and the bathroom was big with shower only. The biggest issue I had with the room was lack of storage. Breakfast was good but not alot of change from day to day. Breakfast starts at 7:00AM and by about 8:00AM there was often a queue to get in. There is a convenience store on the main floor, but it sells mostly snacks and not much in the way of toiletries. Eve's bar on the main floor has great food, and prices are reasonable for a hotel bar. If you want a nice, reasonably priced hotel near Central station, then the Mercure is a great option.
We had a great stay at the Mercure Hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, the staff were absolutely wonderful—friendly, helpful, and attentive. The location was ideal for us, with easy access to buses, trains, and trams, which made getting around a breeze. The only downside was the bed, which wasn’t the most comfortable and made for a restless night. That said, the staff were quick to respond and kindly brought up extra pillows to try and improve things, which we really appreciated.
