Staying at the Mercure, we decided to give Platform 818 a go. We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly, a romantic atmosphere and food was amazing. My husband at prawns with speck for entree. For mains, we had the pesto pasta, chips, winter veg, and steak. It was all beautifully cooked and presented well. The tiramisu was the highlight for me. Never had I had tiramisu like that!! Dry ice in the base of the bottom dish, and then the waitress poured the water. Just absolutely lovely!! I would recommend eating here!!

First, service was great and César tended to our table beautifully. Food: the best thing in the whole menu were the conchiglioni. The beef cheek was pretty good as well, and the duck and the sirloin were well cooked. The fish of the day were fish and chips, and the quality was unimpressive. The chips were just bland, not crispy, likely frozen. In intervals, there was a strong sewage smell that made our dinner quite less enjoyable than it could have been and made us leave early.

The food was good. Portions were tiny, but good for us to try more dishes. They were on FirstTable so we got 50% discount. The settings could be better.

Impeccably attentive service by Marvin on 14/2/2025 at a dinner sitting. The manager here must be treating the staff well because they all take pride at their job here. Must try out their tiramisu for a surprise!
