Prime location! Couldn't be better. You can walk to all the tourist attractions from the hotel. The hotel and rooms were very clean, with a great atmosphere. Although parking space at the hotel is limited, the staff are excellent in recommending alternatives. Directly opposite the hotel is a large parking garage, which costs only $12 per night. Most importantly, the staff were incredible. They made a wonderful first impression that enhanced my stay. The staff assisted with parking, provided travel recommendations and directions, and even allowed us to leave our bags after checkout so we could explore the city and return later.

Great location—just a short walk from Christchurch’s business district and vibrant shopping areas, which made it really convenient for both work and leisure. The hotel is part of the Accor chain, so it carries that familiar standard of quality and comfort. Service was pleasant throughout my stay; the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The room itself was clean, tidy, and well-maintained—exactly what you’d hope for after a long day. I stayed for two nights and felt that it offered great value for the price. A solid choice if you’re looking for comfort and convenience in the heart of the city.

Had 1 night here in Christchurch at Ibis hotel and worth the stay. Close to many locations and the room was spacious. Like the bathroom was amazing and huge. The staff was so friendly and helpful when we requested for extra pillow and towels they helped and was delivered all within 20 minutes. They also helped to advice on parking locations which was grateful. Highly recommended to stay here when your in Christchurch.

Terrific location ! Extremely close to the shopping district, riverside market yet quiet enough for a great nice sleep after a wonderful shower and soft comfortable clean cotton sheets ! Perfect. The coffee and Dilmah tea were greatly appreciated ! Small bar fridge with milk portions (thank you) ironing board and extra blankets if needed were there, but the heating cooling system perfect !?

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ibis in Christchurch. It was an easy, short walk to all central retail and entertainment locations, and many of the central city hospitality venues. Parking was easy, across the road with a good overnight rate.
