Instagram15. El Carbon
El Carbon Grill House, a coffeeshop stall located at Ang Mo Kio and Yishun is different from other coffeeshop Western stalls as it has an authentic charcoal grill concept. El Carbon's signature Charbroiled Chicken Chop ($7.50) is a must-try. You'll get to savour a nice smokiness with the charred exterior while the inside of the chicken is juicy. It's served with spaghetti aglio olio, mesclun salad, corn on a cob and black pepper sauce.
Perhaps what surprises us the most is that the steaks at El Carbon are super affordably priced as well. The Angus Ribeye is $13 while the Angus Sirloin is $12. But what you get with the price is quality, well-marbled Black Angus beef. It's tender, flavourful and will leave you feeling satisfied.
