One thing I like about this place is that, given that they have so many different sambal choices, they are making everything freshly and not ready made to scoop. accidentally order tofu bakar and goreng and I would recommend the tofu goreng better. Sotong goreng is really nice, fry just nicely and not over cooked, batter is just nice, not too thick / thin. Ayam goreng is a bit dry on the inside but all the sambal I’ve ordered taste really good, will definitely come back again to taste other sambal and dishes.

My family's favourite restaurant in KL. Everything is good here, literally. Our go to is the sotong goreng tepung with telur dadar set (sambal bawang) - worth every penny. Highly recommended to go. You will not be disappointed.

Finally found a solid ayam penyet spot at Sambal Spesial SS TTDI! The grilled chicken was super tasty and paired so well with their spicy sambal. They’ve got a bunch of other dishes on the menu too—definitely planning to come back and try more. If you’re craving good ayam penyet, this place is worth checking out.

This Indonesian restaurant has a lot of authentic options as it is a branch of restaurant originating in Indonesia. They have quite a few things that can be made vegan on request. The food is pretty cheap as well as potentially very spicy. The flavours of the sambals are quite intense as they are spicy. They have a small selection of plain fruits, papaya, honey dew melon and watermelon too. I just ordered the fried tofu and tempeh, the asam boi from here is pretty good too, we got the avocado juice which doesn't have any cows milk. You kinda need someone who speaks Indonesian to navigate their vegan options, or you can point to the pictures in this review
