143 Russell St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
Tiny casual burger place that is very unassuming. I had the spicy chicken burger and onion rings. How it looks doesn't really do it justice - the burger was absolutely delicious. The bun was fresh and soft, the chicken was super tender with plenty of fillings and sauce. The onion rings were well-seasoned and had a nice crunch. Service was quick and friendly.
Got the Aussie burger for about $18. Burger was juicy and ingredients like pineapple and bacon complimented each other. A solid burger. A few suggestions for improvement: More beetroot, add brioche bun, and smash the burger to give it charred edges.
For a tiny unassuming shop they do make a decent burger and chips! Like many I was pleasantly surprised by my experience and definitely understand why this little spot is quite popular. If you just wanna grab a burger you can get away with a great burger for under $20 but adding a combo can be an extra $8 or $11 depending on size. The chips are crunchy and well seasoned and there is some space to sit inside and out or just simply take away and find a place to eat in the city.
Such a good burger spot! I love the outdoor seating and the burgers are so good! Big portions and great value for money. Definitely visiting them again soon.
