A lovely place to eat! The food was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, and the atmosphere was friendly, calming and charming. As a vegan, it can be hard to find good restaurants to eat at - but this place was top notch! I loved the vegan dishes, from start to finish! The hosts were friendly and easy to talk to. Their English was also quite good. I would recommend anyone to eat here, we had a lovely time!
So glad we found this place! We had a party in our mouth the whole evening as the dishes had a unique taste and combination to it. The set menus are always different as they use the fresh seasonal ingredients of Kyoto. Heli and Miho, the hosts, were just amazing! The quality is top tier and the prices are insanely low! We had the OVO lactose vegetarian set menu which I highly recommended as a non pork eater. Note that the pictures, who lack of quality, of the food does not justify the richness of the food haha.
The food was like a vegetarian royal treatment to our tastebuds. So rich in flavour and aroma. The cook was an expert in her work and made no mistake. The waitress was so kind and talked a lot with us providing valuable information regarding vegetarian items and about Kyoto in general as well. Truly an amazing experience here. Though it’s a bit costly than other restaurants still worth giving a visit.
Wow. This is a great very little restauraunt. It is a house, a little hole in the wall with a single stove and a little eating bench. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming entrance, as the little walkway does not look like a restauraunt from the street. But a wonderful meal was delivered in this cozy setting. The menu is set menu, but has options including non-vegetarian (carnivorous), Pesco-vegetarian, vegetarian, etc.. there were many little dishes, tapas style, perhaps eight courses? The dishes were attractive and delicious. You are with the chef and a server, kind people, moderate English spoken, enough for English speaking travelers (though we spoke more Spanish). I throughly recommend this restauraunt. Enjoy!
Fantastic experience with amazing food. We ordered a regular and a pesceterian menu. Once the dishes started coming they wouldn't stop. Restaurant is small, so the evening felt like a family meeting, everybody speaking to each other. Miho is very friendly and a fantastic cook. I would definetely recommend the place, but make sure you book in advance.
