Everything was so delicious! I couldn’t believe the egg sandwich was vegan, tasted so great! I loved the savoury dishes and sweet, the fresh pineapple juice was so tasty too! I will definitely eat here again, I want to try more of the menu! It was relaxed and cosy and all the staff are all super sweet and everything came very speedily, thank you so much ?

Nestled away like a precious secret, Mercy Vegan Factory is a true hidden gem in Kyoto! From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. But the real magic happens when the food arrives. Everything on the menu is completely vegan, and let me tell you, it's absolutely excellent. Each dish is crafted with care and bursts with flavor, proving that plant-based cuisine can be truly exceptional. And for those looking for a sophisticated non-alcoholic beverage, they even offer non-alcoholic wine! It's a delightful touch that elevates the dining experience. However, the standout for me was undoubtedly the shojin curry. It was simply outstanding. The delicate balance of spices and the depth of flavor were truly remarkable. It's a dish I'll be dreaming about long after leaving. We were lucky and found a free table without a reservation. The quality of the food is superb. I don't often get vegan versions of food that can't be vegan, but I was really impressed by the vegan egg sandwich. I have egg sandwiches all the time when I come to Japan and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this vegan one and the real one. Even the smell was the same. However what I liked the most was the vegan curry rice. While still being reminiscent of the classic Japanese curry and rice, this one was different, feeling more like a party with many different vegetables and their own flavour. Highly recommend

HANDS DOWN One of the best vegan places I’ve ate. Staff is welcoming and has great hospitality. Menu is very easy to read and allows options for a full course meal and also gives options for popular meals. There are several sides and several desserts and several drinks to also pick from. I had the pleasure to eat the grilled chirashi sushi course. I had an amazing time tasting several flavors as they were immaculate and out of this world. This course is very filling for one person and is highly recommended. Restaurant was very clean and despite there being a rush towards the middle of my visit, their service was quick and catered for the customers.
