As a local certainly, KING OF SNAKE offers the finest Euro-Asian cuisine in a stunning 5-star contemporary setting. Take in breathtaking panoramic views of Cashel Mall, the Bridge of Remembrance, and the willow-lined banks of the Avon River. Whether you’re indulging in a full à la carte dining experience, sipping cocktails with bites at the bar, or enjoying a refreshing drink on the deck, King of Snake guarantees an unforgettable experience. To top it off, our waitress Caleb provided exceptional service from start to finish, making the evening even more memorable.

Recommendation one: book in advance as this place gets busy quickly. We tried the Premium ‘Trust the King’ option and everything was great. I found it was a wonderful way to try the different variety of food on the menu for a second visit. If you’re willing to take my advice: just start with the roasted spinach leaf starter, then go straight for the duck. This was part of the premium and a firm favourite at our table. Skip dessert.

Another great evening at King of Snake. Iconic Christchurch restaurant that never ceases to deliver. Bookings are essential as mostly fully booked and tables are only available for 2 hours. There is also a cocktail bar for pre dinner drinks or to extend your experience. We tend to order the same menu items as they are favourites. Service excellent and a friendly team.

Dined in and ordered the Trust the King AKA trust the chief to bring you a selection of meals of their choice. They still ask you for preferences, certain proteins we feel like which I thought was great. Oysters - delicious Carpaccio - delicious although my preference would be slightly thinner pieces but you can’t complain with more meat. Crispy duck - amazing, crispy, sauce well balanced. Tuna salad - refreshing, light, good flavours Dessert - pretty tasty too No complaints here and our waiter Spencer was amazing, shout out to him. Good chat, great suggestions, knew the menu and helped us select cocktails. Thanks team

Incredible asian fusion concept. Great eye to detail in terms of food, drinks and interior. I had a slightly spicy cocktail with finger and chili - absolutely mind blowing. Food was incredible and the waitress took great care of us, especially since we came with kids.
