Overall: 8/10 Food: 9/10 The seafood paella we ordered was great. Very authentic flavour and texture. Great chew and char on the rice. Good balance of saltiness and vegetable flavour in the broth. Shellfish were fresh and shucked. No unnecessary peas and tomatoes that dilute the flavours. One of the few rare places to get a authentic paella in Christchurch. Service: 6.5/10 The waiters were great, but the kitchen forgot to fire up our order. So we had to wait almost 50 min to get our paella (compare to a normal 30min). They waived some money out of our bills, which is a great gesture. Environment and Atmosphere: 7.5/10 Deco was fine. But the table size for 2 was slightly too small.

I checked out the Riverside Market website before arriving in Chch & liked the sound of the happy hour at Castros so visited with a friend. The staff are cool & friendly, the food is delicious & the variety of areas to choose where to sit a vibe! Loved our filling selection of tapa snacks for 2 with a special shout out to the guacamole & delightful corn chips.

Had the trust the chef option and it was absolutely delicious! They fed us 5 tapa dishes, paella, and dessert. To say we left full is an understatement, we were beyond full in the best way possible. Plus the service was amazing by everyone! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting top notch Spanish food!

Had a fabulous meal tonight. They were able to accommodate a large group of us at short notice. The food was delicious and it was bought out quickly. The mocktails were beautiful and delicious. Ethan made a fabulous job of them. Katie was a the best hostess and looked after us well.

Really delicious meal here on a chilly Saturday night. The staff were kind enough to squeeze our large group in without a booking which we really appreciated. The food was super tasty and arrived really quickly. Definitely recommend the ‘Fashionista’ mocktail, great job Ethan and huge thanks to Katie for her high level of service. ??
