Room is small and compact. The plus sign is the location is convenient to commute to different towns. But the minus point is the front desk manager and staff are unable to communicate in English and trying to push away our need when we truly need assistance on our booking confirmation for our next leg of travel. Eventually, we went to another hotel whom speaks good English and are delighted to help us with our requirements.

The location is excellent—right at JR Osaka Station, where you can easily take trains to explore all of Osaka and even a direct train to Kyoto. There are many shopping malls nearby. However, the room feels small and crowded. The cleanliness is okay, but the walls and furniture appear slightly old and worn. The hotel does not have a self-service laundry machine, nor does it have a gym room.

Other than the hotel’s great location, right on top of the Osaka-Umeda stations, the Granvia staff were amazing! We ran into a problem with our next hotel, and Ichimura-san, Hirasaki-san and Noguchi-san working the night shift went above and beyond to help us at 3am in the morning. Thank you so much for saving the next leg of our trip!

You cannot get a better located hotel than Hotel Granvia Osaka. It is located IN the JR Osaka station. The whole Osaka-Umeda area is walkable from this hotel. If you want to take day trip to Kyoto, just go downstairs and hop on the train and you'll be there in 30mins. The room is the regular Japanese size - small but clean and cozy. Service is great. Highly recommend.
