Umeda Sky Building floors 40, Japan, 〒531-6039 Osaka, Kita Ward, Oyodonaka, 1 Chome−1−88 梅田スカイビル
We purchased Osaka Amazing Pass, which provides free entry to observatory until 3 PM. After which pass entails certain discount. Ticket price is 2000 Yen for an adult. We visited in the morning and could see a huge crowd even then. The observatory is situated in Umed Sky Tower and has a history which is shown in pictures and videos. The views from the top are no doubt breathtaking. Be ready to encounter a huge crowd. It was quite windy when we visited in mid Nov but with clear sky.
This is quite an interesting building with escalators connecting the two towers. At the top there’s interesting information about skyscrapers, going back to BC times! The roof is also open for a nice outdoor view of the city. I would highly recommend this trip.
The path to the observation deck is pretty cool going up an escalator with a glass wall and ceiling. Once there there are ample view points and places to grab a quick bite and drink.
Top 20 tallest building in the world. Quick elevator ride to the 40th floor and then an escalator up to the observatory level. Doesn’t feel super high but still give you a good surrounding view of area. Grab a drink and can relax by the window. You can also take the stair up to the skywalk level. Amazing picture opportunity either by yourself or loved ones.
The place was beautiful — just make sure to go when the weather is nice! Also, a heads-up for those using the Osaka Amazing Pass: it only covers free entry before 3 PM. After 3 PM, you'll need to pay extra.
