Halal Coffeeshop Kedai Kopi Opens New Outlet At Ang Mo Kio

It’s only a 2-minute walk from Mayflower MRT station, which makes it convenient for a trip to Kedai Kopi! ? For the uninitiated, all of Kedai Kopi's stalls at its Clementi outlet are Muslim-owned or pending halal certification. All of the 9 popular stalls from their current outlets at Haig Road and Clementi will be available there (more than 300 dishes for you to choose from ?), so if you need a little refresher on what to try, here’s what you can expect!

If you’re a big fan of Western food, you’re going to love their thin-crust Truffle Mushroom Pizza from Pasta Pizza. Each thin-crust pizza is hand-stretched and baked to perfection ? Generous servings of garlic aioli, mozzarella, button and shitake mushrooms, truffle oil and parmesan cheese (because you can never get enough of cheese, am I right? ?) are spread evenly all over the hand-stretched dough. And it’s made to order too, so expect a fresh slice that's bound to make you squirm in delight in every bite! ?

Craving a comforting bowl of noodles? The Signature Yong Tau Fu with Dry Hakka Noodle will do just the trick. The soup broth has been boiled over low heat for hours and pairs well with the slurp-worthy noodles! ? Pair it up with your favourite ingredients from the variety of fish balls, tofus, vegetables and more on offer, and you got yourself a light, wholesome meal.

Here’s a fun fact: Ponggol Nasi Lemak’s 3rd-generation owner Edmund Ang (right of the picture; remember those snaking queues at Upper Serangoon? ?) and Chef Sebastian Ng, who's standing on the left of the picture, the chef-cum-owner of Venue By Sebastian at Downtown Gallery (he had a cooking stint at Gordon Ramsay’s flagship restaurant in London!) are partnering up to serve their signature Yong Tau Food dishes, so you’ll be promised authenticity and premium quality at affordable prices! ? Just look out for the store’s name, Mam Mam!

It’s time for seafood lovers to shine! If you love shell-out, then you already know the drill: time to dig into crustacean goodness, Crab in Da Bag, from Buey-Tahan See-food! A diverse selection of seafood is stuffed to the brim of the bag and bathed with flavourful chilli crab sauce ? And the taste? Well, it’s much better to try it for yourselves and get your hands dirty! ?

Just like Tenderfresh’s outlet at Punggol East, this outlet also comes with an air-conditioned Musollah along with an ablution corner so that you wouldn’t have to worry about missing your prayers! We’re so happy that Kedai Kopi has opened yet another outlet in Central! Perhaps there will be plans for an outlet in the North ?

Halal status: All tenants will be required to be 100% Muslim-owned, or approved for halal-certification by MUIS.
