Geylang Serai Bazaar is a staple in Singapore's Ramadan experience. A hub for all things raya from lampu kelap-kelip (fairy lights) to food for iftar, there is a ton to buy, see, eat and do at one of Singapore's largest Ramadan bazaars.

When is it open?

The bazaar will be open a few days before Ramadan (12 March) from 8 March to 9 April 2024. On 9 April (Eve of Hari Raya), the bazaar will be open from 6am all the way until the next morning on 10 April!

What to expect?

This year's bazaar will be a bit smaller, with only 500 stalls and about 150 F&B stalls. The changes for the stalls are that every F&B stall has to be either halal-certified, Muslim-owned or approved by a halal certification consultant! So there's no need to worry if a food stall there can be patronised or not. Prices of food are expected to be high due to the change in GST this year, the economy and the very high rental fees. However, there are rules now that each stall must have at least 2 products priced at $3!
