1000 5th Ave, New York, NY 10028, United States
It was one of the best galleries I've ever visited. An incredible amount and diversity of works. There is so much impressionism and post-impressionism, which is exactly what I was looking for. It really deserves multiple trips to fully appreciate all that it's got to offer. There's plenty of restrooms and cafes so it's a comfortable place to visit. Staff were polite and welcoming, and it was really quick to get inside despite the large number of people there.
It's the most popular museum in NYC. If you're a museum person, you should definitely visit here. There are so many displays within the museum and you can even spend the whole day here. The tickets can be purchased in advance if you don't want to wait in a long line. It's free for those who use Bank of America card holders and NYC residents. My friend is a NYC resident and he can bring one more visit with a small amount of money for donation. Easy to get here as well. Highly recommend.
Finally got to visit and it was everything I hoped for. The museum is massive and filled with incredible art, but the highlight for me was seeing “Washington Crossing the Delaware” in person — a masterpiece I’ve been waiting to see with my own eyes. The scale, the detail, the energy in that painting gave me chills. You could spend hours here and still not see everything. A must-visit if you appreciate history, beauty, and powerful storytelling through art.
I love to visit museums ?️?? all over the world and for a long long time I knew when I visit New York ? I would go to this museum. First of all - the museum is HUGE! In one day there is no chance to see everything, you can get a map ?️ and check what do you want to see more, I saw the Egypt era, Asian and European (but not all of that). - my favorite art was of Monet ?️ (he is one of my favorite artist) ?? Also, when I was there there was the fashion exhibition that was also very nice, beautiful and interesting! We needed to reserve our place online (with no cost) and to wait to our turn - it was a long waiting like 40 minutes. I do recommend you to buy a ticket online for the entrance of the museum to save more time. I was there few hours and still it wasn't enough time to see everything so think of you want to divide it for two days of visit or going only to the parts that interest you the most. ???
I’ve been to this museum twice, and each visit continues to amaze me. It is truly one of the best museums I’ve ever been to. The collection is incredibly large and features a wide variety of exhibits that change regularly. I ended up spending at least four hours exploring the museum each time I visited.
