One of the best tours I've been on. Darma is so friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us around a local school, showed us a Barong dance, then welcomed us into his home, explaining all about Balinese culture and community. We had a fresh coconut to drink, we tried making our own klepon, we tasted unusual fruits, he showed us how to make Balinese offerings and then took us to see the rice paddies, I even had a go planting rice. We saw how his family makes coconut oil and coffee as well as all the spices that go into the tradition chicken skewers (which we all tried). Then lunch was absolutely delicious! Finally we had a dance performance with live Balinese music from members of the community. Darma was so informative and funny and made sure everyone felt welcomed and had what they needed and his family were all so kind. I cannot recommend this enough.

We're back from ANOTHER "awesome" Balinese experience!!! I highly suggest and recommend the Balinese Village Tour for any one who appreciates culture, traditions, and seeing the similarities & differences within one's own culture. We were treated to a generous portion of Balinese food. The driver & family were so friggin' cool!!

I visited the village with my wife. We had an amazing experience getting to know the local people, understanding their customs and traditions and eating authentic Balinese food (was delicious). The music was wonderful as well as the balinese dances. We had the chance to see how people grow rice and we had the opportunity to plow the land with cows. Highly recommend it!

What an amazing experience! They run every Tuesday and other days is on request. A really nice experience without it being commercialised at a big scale to understand Balinese culture. The meal at the end was amazing too!

Such an incredible experience with Desa Wisata Penarungan. Flawless and in perfect English. It’s a proper summary into Balinese life whilst making you feel welcomed and part of the family. 100% recommend as a day to get out of Canggu
