10 Bayfront Ave, Event Plaza Marina Bay Sands, Singapore 018972
Great free show down at the waterfront. It looks stunning against the backdrop of the city. Lots of people, so make sure to get there before the start to find a good place to sit/stand. If you sit or stand very close to the water you will get wet. They have 2 shows each evening - one at 8pm and one at 9pm. We went to the 8pm one which was very popular.
The standard shows happens at 8 pm and 9 pm Sundays to Thursdays, additional shows at 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. From 15 May 2025 to 24 May 2025, there would be Lady Gaga shows at 830 pm and 930 pm to promote her coming concert to Singapore on the week of 19 May 2025. Do not miss it! Best view for the shows are in front of Marina Bay Sands. Another view for the standard shows was to watch it from far to see how the colours of the buildings changes according to the tempo of the presentation. Nothing much was happening from afar for the Lady Gaga shows. However the buildings are lit in beautiful Orange during this period to promote her arrival. Arrive early to get a good seat. Also you need to figure out how to get there as certain exits are locked as a means of crowd controls. The shows are all free. The old shows years ago were pretty awesome with pyrotechnics including real fire and bubbles. Though the story of the show was kinda boring about the scarcity of water. Likely sponsored by Government back then.
Spectra – A Light & Water Show at Marina Bay Sands completely exceeded my expectations. It’s a beautiful combination of water jets, colorful lights, music, and laser effects, all set against the stunning night skyline of Singapore. The whole experience felt magical and cinematic. The show lasts about 15 minutes and is totally free. It takes place at the Event Plaza right outside The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. If you want a good view, I recommend arriving a bit early. The choreography between the music and the fountain movements is really impressive—the water literally dances to the rhythm, shooting high into the air and spinning with grace. The light projections on the water screens were surprisingly clear, even showing images and story elements. One of my favorite moments was when the lights and music built up together—it gave me goosebumps. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, even with a large crowd watching. Everyone seemed captivated. If you're spending an evening around Marina Bay, don’t miss this show. It’s a relaxing, inspiring way to end the day and a great photo or video opportunity too.
Spectra – A Light & Water Show at Marina Bay Sands is a tranquil yet captivating nightly display—lasting about 15 minutes—with graceful water jets, subtle lighting, and gentle orchestral music. It’s well-organized and free, making it an easy evening stop to unwind by the waterfront—even if it’s slightly less dazzling than larger shows.
What can I say? An absolutely incredible show. Amazing water and laser effects perfectly complemented by the music. I recommend arriving a bit earlier to get a good view of the show – it tends to get quite crowded.
