Summit Road, Kennedys Bush, Christchurch 7672, New Zealand
A nice walk either follow the track or the road. Don't have to be fit. If you go along the road the road is pretty much wheelchair friendly whit no steep climbs. Great view. Clean well maintained organic toilet available.
Walked here on a pretty damp day from a car park slightly further along and even though the weather wasn't playing ball the views from here out on both sides of the hills were great. The views down into the harbour area and out to Lyttleton are really long and I can imagine sunrise from here is truely special. There are walks along the crater rim you can do from here both ways and while the nature reserve nearby has been shut due to safety concerns the walks either side are very good with the trails well maintained. The trails aren't the widest and have some slippery stones but watch your step and you'll be all good!
My last night in New Zealand was spent here with my love watch the sun set over the city, dancing and taking in every last minute together. Such a romantic venue! ❤️
Amazing scenery. Must visit this place.
Very nice short walk with good views.
