Opened in 1962, the Seoul Central Market, also known as Jungang Market, is the largest traditional market in the Jung-gu district. It offers a variety of products, from fresh produce to prepared dishes. If you’re a fan of street food and local specialties, this is a must-visit spot during your trip to Seoul. Less frequented by tourists, it provides an authentic experience of local life. ??️
Love this market, though it's becoming more trendy. Still old-school places of in the side alleys. Get in there and look around. You'll find something you'll like.
1/2024 One of the main markets in Korea. This one happens to be old school. You really have to see the lady making these wonderful sweet cakes. People stand in line and wait for her to make them. And yes, yummy. Great market for local proteins for home cooking. Reminds me of our original Chinatown in Honolulu. This seems to be one of the original markets in Seoul, although I'm not certain. ✌️
