The National Mosque is historic and important in Malaysia. It is a humble and peaceful place to visit. Do not worry if you are not dressed correctly as robes are supplied free to cover up if need be. Inside has been designed beautifully and well maintained. For tourists they are most welcoming and is a must to visit if coming to KL. Free entry. The mosque is a beautiful example of architectural style. the atmosphere of the mosque is in keeping with the religious solemnity. Religious freedom in Malaysia is very pleasant.

The National Mosque is a grand and beautiful place of worship. The interior is cool with air conditioning, providing a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Its architecture is stunning, with many intricate and elegant details to admire. What makes it unique is that it's also popular among non-Muslim tourists, who are welcome to visit by wearing special robes provided at the entrance. A truly remarkable cultural and spiritual landmark.

A serene and impressive masjid that beautifully reflects Malaysia’s Islamic heritage. The architecture is striking, with its unique umbrella-shaped roof and expansive courtyard creating a peaceful atmosphere. Visitors are welcomed respectfully, with robes provided for appropriate attire, allowing everyone to appreciate the space regardless of background. The mosque is well maintained and offers a calm escape from the busy city. While it’s not a lengthy stop, it’s definitely worth a visit for its cultural and spiritual significance. Definitely worth a visit in particular if you are visiting the museum across the road.

Impressive mosque, beautiful architecture. Head to the main entrance to sign-in (free to visit) and get your hoodie/skirt if you need covering. Very well organised for tourists to visit with A LOT of staff on attendance to answer questions and show you around. Plenty of signage so you don't get lost. The grounds are quite large. The dome is really impressive and beautifully decorated. The women's praying area is architected to resemble a pineapple! Staff are very approachable, happy to answer any questions about the mosque or islam.

I went here on a Friday and was lucky to pray the Friday prayers here. I went with my friends, but they couldn't go inside as the mosque is open for tourists from 3 pm onwards on Fridays. I was taken aback by the stunning architecture and the quiet. There's so much peace and quiet here despite all the crowd. It's said that it can accommodate 15000 people here, we barely had some 1000 people praying. The Friday sermon was very good, with a very modern and intelligent speech from the imam, I had to use Google translate to understand it, as it was in Malay. Nevertheless, this is one of the national monuments of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and rightly so. Highly recommended.
