A fascinating place to learn about the history of Hangeul, the Korean Alphabet. I had a great time here. The surrounding grounds were also beautiful to explore! Highly recommended especially if you're interested in Korean history, script, and languages. Most of the signs/placards were translated in English. Free admission.

Another great musuem in Seoul about their national language/alphabet and how it came about. I love how they take a lot of pride in their Korean alphabet and its much deeper than a bunch of letters and how there's so much history to it. Learned a lot

Small but pleasant museum to spend a hour or so. See together with the National Museum and enjoy the gardens after.

Extensively provides insight into how Hangul, the Korean alphabet, was created. The permanent exhibit provides information about the history, development, and cultural significance, while the temporary exhibits explore more linguistic aspects. It's a rather small museum and free to visit! Note that the temporary exhibits are all in Korean but the main exhibit has both English and Korean!

Had a wonderful time learning the history of hangeul and the presentation and preservation of regional dialects. The artifacts and exhibits were presented in ways that were engaging, interactive and even interactive. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and also learn a lot. The is a small gift shop with many tempting items and a cafe with drinks and snacks. A great place to spend 1-2 hours. A wonderful place to bring kids.
