Stepping onto Marina South Pier, I was immediately struck by the vibrant energy of the place. Tourists buzzed around, eager to embark on their island adventures, while the gentle sway of the boats bobbing in the water created a soothing rhythm. The pier itself was clean and well-maintained, with a modern design that blended seamlessly with the surrounding cityscape. I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as I watched the ferries depart, their colorful hulls cutting through the turquoise waters. The rooftop space, with its panoramic views of the harbor and the distant skyline, was a perfect spot to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy a refreshing drink. While the pier itself is primarily a transportation hub, the lively ambiance and the promise of exciting island excursions made it a truly memorable experience. At the corner of Marina South Pier, there is a store that offers economy bee hoon, providing visitors with the opportunity to purchase food before boarding the ship. Additionally, the store sells bao, snacks, drinks, and other essentials reminiscent of a convenience store. With options ranging from snacks to beverages, visitors can grab items to enjoy during their island adventure or for a quick refreshment. The store also offers luggage and hats for sale, adding to its appeal as a convenient stop for tourists. Overall, it functions as a tourist attraction stall, catering to the needs of travelers before they embark on their journey.

The pier was absolutely breathtaking! The scent of the salty sea air combined with a hint of fresh fish and ocean breeze instantly put me in a relaxed state. As I stood waiting for the boat, I was captivated by the view – endless blue waters stretching out under a bright sky, with gentle waves lapping against the shore. Watching seagulls glide overhead and boats peacefully passing by added to the charm. It felt like a hidden gem, perfect for anyone wanting to soak in the natural beauty of the coast before setting off on the water. Highly recommend!

This is where you can catch a ferry to visit the southern islands of Singapore, namely the St John's island, the Sisters' island, the Lazarus island and the Kusu island. An island-hopping ticket costs $18 for an adult. Children below 12 enjoy free rides. Seniors above 60 enjoy a $6 discount. There's a Singapore Maritime Gallery at the second floor - admission is free but is closed on Mondays.

You can relax here facing the sea or catch the ferry to St. John's Island, Lazarous Island and Kusu Island.
