The Leeum Museum of Art in Seoul is a must-visit for art lovers! Located in Itaewon, this beautifully designed museum blends traditional Korean artifacts with striking contemporary art. The ambiance is elegant and peaceful, making it a great place to explore at your own pace. One of the highlights for me was the stunning staircase—it’s definitely worth skipping the elevator to take in the design as you walk down. The exhibitions are thoughtfully curated, and you can see everything in under two hours, which makes it perfect for a relaxed visit. Whether you’re into ancient history, modern art, or just want to experience a unique cultural spot in Seoul, this museum is highly recommended. A great way to spend a morning or afternoon!

Nice but not a must visit. It was really crowded when i went as it was raining and other attractions were closed due to the president impeachment. It was hard to find an umbrella storage - I had to wait 20 minutes for a locker as I couldn't take my umbrella with me. I was able to buy a ticket on the day.

The ticket queues were long, but quick turnaround. Museum staff could speak English and were very polite, introducing the various exhibits happening (do check in advance on their website what is currently on display) and the price of the ticket. I got the ticket that covered all exhibitions. There were 3 areas of exhibition. Depending on how long it takes for you to appreciate the work, the whole museum can go from 1 hour or 3 hours. There's a little coffee bar there for your beverage needs, however drinks cannot be brought into the exhibition areas. Toilets are somewhat limited. Conclusion: I went without checking reviews and the museum website, without expectations, and got pleasantly surprised with enjoying myself there. At my time of visit, there were exhibits from early history of Korea (eg. Goryeo period) to current art works (eg. Lee Ufan) and modern installations (interactive AI webapp). It was a good afternoon, not too much to cover and not too little that it leaves you wanting more. Just nice.
