228-1 Itaewon-ro, Yongsan District, Seoul, South Korea
One of my favorite since they opened. Whether you are a vegan or not, you will definitely like it. It is tasty and worthy.
Monk’s Butcher in Itaewon offers a refreshing take on vegan dining, where unexpected ingredient combinations come together in harmony, delivering a vibrant and wholesome experience with every bite. The Tomato Plum Aid, served with a Mexican Tofu Sandwich, is a standout—its tomato, meticulously peeled and marinated in plum syrup, delivers a surprising depth of flavor, reminiscent of a lightly carbonated infusion. The cream, accompanying the sandwich, creates a delightful texture, as croutons soaked within the soup blend seamlessly, introducing a new level of texture that pairs beautifully with the sauce's natural taste. As one of the trailblazing restaurants at the forefront of Korea’s growing vegan food culture, my expectations were high. While the culinary experience didn’t quite meet those lofty anticipations, the charming ambiance makes it a perfect spot for a sunny afternoon meal. It’s a destination worth visiting, especially for those seeking a healthy, thoughtful dining experience.
Excellent vegetarian dinner at Seoul!
