DISCLAIMER: Currently, as of Oct 2023, the Istana Besar (Also known as Museum of Sultan Abu Bakar) is closed to the public for the forseeable future, I'm not sure why, maybe for renovations. I was able to visit the Museum of Sultan Abu Bakar and it gives a very detailed look into the life of the sultan at the istana (castle), although that may have been because of all the guides which were around during my visit. The Museum of Sultan Abu Bakar does not only touch on the life and accomplisments of Sultan Abu Bakar, but also the more recent Sultans and Sultanas as well. Overall, the information and artefacts are very interesting and there is a history in the area which is interesting in its own right.
