Love this spot. Great for a stroll with the kids, exercise, walking, running, bike, mountain bike trails. Just no pets! The View Cafe is also very nice. Popular spot for motorcycle riders to meet too. Lots of curvy roads close by.

Hinze Dam is an ordinary dam but offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The serene waters and lush greenery make it a peaceful spot for a short visit. The lookout points provide a great vantage of the dam, and the walking trails add to the experience. While there’s not much else to do, it’s a nice place to relax and take in the natural beauty.

Hinze dam is a nice outing for the whole family. There is a small cafe with coffee and snacks. If that is not your scene then you can bring your own and use the picnic facilities. You can walk across the dam wall and at the moment the spillway is letting out a lot of water.

Great spot for a walk, some photos, a picnic or something from the very good cafe. If the spillway is in play even more to look at. Parking can be a bit hectic on a busy day and often s wait for a park. Some dedicated motorcycle parking as well. The view of the dam from the cafe is now somewhat impeded given the trees have matured and undergrowth thickened. Definitely a place to visit.

This is one of my favourite places to walk with my son. The Dam and it's surroundings ate really picturesque and it's a pretty decent walk along the Dam from one end to the other.
