While we were in Paris, we visited the Domaine National du Palais-Royal, and it truly felt like a hidden gem right in the heart of the city. The gardens are peaceful and beautifully maintained, offering a picturesque escape from the bustling streets. The historic architecture and iconic black-and-white columns make it a perfect spot for photos and a quiet stroll. It’s definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re planning to go to the Louvre Museum—it’s just next door! I would have given it five stars if there were a few more amenities like cafes or clearer signage, but overall, it’s a lovely experience.

The Royal Palace was built in 1629 by architect Jacques Lemercier at the request of Cardinal Richelieu. Originally called the Cardinal’s Palace, it was bequeathed to King Louis XIII upon Richelieu’s death in 1642 and took its current name. The gardens of the Royal Palace are among the most peaceful and charming green spaces in Paris. With their tree-lined paths, basins, and statues, they offer a haven of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Palais-Royal is a former palace in the city center, near the Louvre Museum. In the garden, formed by the galleries surrounding the green space, you can relax in the shade of the trees or enjoy the sun in the benches near the fountain. In the galleries surrounding the garden, you'll find beautiful boutiques, cafes, and antique shops. In the courtyard of the former palace, you can take photographs and have fun climbing the columns (contemporary art).

The Palais-Royal is a historic palace walkable near the Louvre Museum. Besides the stunning view of the palace, it has perfectly maintained & peaceful gardens complete with water fountains. The tree lined path is one of Paris’s most photographed iconic spots. Surrounding the garden, you'll find beautiful boutiques, cafes, and shops. In the courtyard of the former palace, they have these beautiful black & white striped columns which was installed by an artist. Very iconic & great for photos. Worth a visit to see the gardens, palace & art installations you don’t want to skip!
