The Blue Boat House is a must-visit spot in Perth. It’s often crowded with people waiting to take pictures, so finding parking can be challenging. Instead of waiting in line, we chose to admire it from a distance and still enjoyed the atmosphere and took some great photos. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Despite no parking and accessible 30 min queue to get a photo down the pier wr really enjoyed The Blue Boat House. Deciding to take the piss of everyone there, my husband did some Blue Steel modelling on the pier. Enjoy

Visited the Blue Boat House on a Saturday evening and it was absolutely worth the stop. The sunset view was stunning—soft twilight blues blending over the Swan River made it feel almost surreal. It’s definitely a popular photo spot, so we had to queue for about 15–20 minutes to get our turn, but the view and photos were worth the wait ? If you’re a tourist, it’s easy to get here by bus—there’s a bus stop just a short walk away. However, if you’re coming by car, it might be a bit tricky since I didn’t notice any nearby parking spots. It also struck me as a great spot for a peaceful sunset jog. I can imagine how lovely it must be to live in the apartments just across the street and have this view every evening. A simple, iconic, and beautiful Perth landmark.

The Blue Boat House is one of those must-visit spots in Perth—simple, iconic, and absolutely picture-perfect. We visited early in the morning to avoid the crowd, and the view over the Swan River was stunning with the soft morning light. It’s a popular photo spot, so be prepared for a little wait if you go during peak hours, but it’s totally worth it. The walkway leading up to the house adds to the charm, and it’s a peaceful place to just soak in the view. Great stop for locals and tourists alike—don’t forget your camera!

The Blue Boat House is indeed sinking! Glad we managed to get the chance to snap a shot with this popular tourist spot. Those who are driving like we did, we had to park at the Swan Carpark and walked down the forest path Law Walk and Crawley Steps. Note that once you are at the base of the hill, you have to put your "Crossy Road" experience into practice as there are no official crossings along Mounts Bay Road, so you have to dash across when there are gaps in the traffic. Once you arrive at the Blue Boat House, it's not as if there are any personnel of ticketing present - it's open to the general public with no restricted entry. We went around near evening time at 5pm in May and there was a queue of about 3 families. Note that you have to buffer some additional time as each family might take some time - they might take group pictures, solo pictures, picture of mother and child, and so on. By the time it came to our turn, we nearly missed the last light but had still captured our photo successfully. Just remember to plan before you head down!
