528 Point Chevalier Road, Point Chevalier, Auckland 1022, New Zealand
It's a great park, and quite big. There is a big playground, and lots for the children to do. There are 2 issues which made the day less enjoyable. The carpark is very small. Many people had to park 1 or 2 kms away, and walk back. Many parked on yellow lines, because it is so small and limited. Access to the beach is very difficult. If you're young and lithe, then it's no problem. There is a narrow winding staircase with no railing. On the other side are steep ramps covered in sand, which makes it very slippery, or a lot of steps, again without a railing. Otherwise it's a beautifully kept park, with amazing sea and city views, and lovely big old trees.
Great park with lots of space and equipment for kids to play on. Good - spacious, lots of greens, trees and shade, it’s close to the beach and there are cafes close by. Bathrooms and changing rooms are also available which is good. You can get to the beach and some nice fishing spots through the north end of the park. Bad - parking, while free, is very hard to find in a busy weekend. Equipment is getting very dated, Could do with an update. Great place to picnic and relax!
Nice park with beautiful ocean side views, playground for the children, bball court for the teens, while the rest walk around or even walk down to the beach and fish. Toilets are clean with outdoor shower and also indoor shower for after swimming. Easy access with parking, accommodating bicycle racks for those who ride. Ample picnic space for the family, this is a dog friendly park with the extra added bonus of the bus stop right here. Finally, the park is wheelchair friendly with parking and pathway ramps. There are two toilets in the front to accommodate your washroom needs.
Great place to watch sunset, always has walkers and runners or families hanging around so it feels very safe, public toilet is quite disgusting with missing toilet seats
Fantastic views from Coyle Park at Point Chevalier, great playground, basketball half court, water fountains and multiple paths down to the beach and sea swimming (3 pontoons).
