Whiteman Park, Whiteman Drive East, Whiteman WA 6068, Australia
visited this zoo with my family and my nephew, and they were so excited to see native Australian animals up close. The zoo is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including kangaroos, koalas, wombats, quokkas, and many other iconic Australian species. One of the best things about this place is the range of kids friendly animal shows. My favorite was the koala presentation the koalas were absolutely adorable, and there were so many of them to see. I also spotted a rare white kangaroo, which was something I had never seen before. It’s a fantastic destination for families. Plus, it’s within walking distance of Whiteman Park, where you can enjoy a picnic, playgrounds, a swimming area, and BBQ facilities.
The perfect place to come and see a huge range of Australian animals with photo opportunities with koalas, wombats, snakes, etc. Fed the kangaroos and stroked a possum too. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff rallying to look after the animals. Plenty of shade throughout the park and a good covered picnic area. Good selection of sandwiches, ice cream and drinks available at the snack bar. Plenty of parking. Excellent day out for the family.
We had an amazing day out at Caversham Wildlife Park with our two kids! From the moment we entered, there was so much to see and do. The kids were thrilled to hand-feed kangaroos, pat a koala, and even watch a farm show with sheep shearing and a working dog demo—super interactive and fun for all ages. The park is well laid out, easy to navigate with strollers, and has plenty of shady spots and picnic areas. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the animal encounters were safe and well-managed. It’s such a great place to let the kids learn about Aussie wildlife up close. Highly recommend for families—it’s an unforgettable experience for little animal lovers!
Although I have been in Perth nearly my whole life, I haven’t been to Caversham Wildlife Park ever. We had family visiting us and this was a great place to take them. They have shows or meet the animals at different times, mornings and afternoons, which you can easily spend the whole day there. I enjoyed it more than the Perth Zoo because it was more interactive and Tourist loves getting up and close with the cute Koalas and Kangaroo. I would definitely recommend taking the kids here or when family from other countries visit. I would recommend going on a weekday if you can, so it’s not as busy and you can comfortably walk around and enjoy the park at your own pace.
Great experience, on a cold winter, sunny morning. The koala named "William ", is very adorable. Feeding the tamed kangaroos, of different colours, are amazing! First time milking a cow, was a success! Watching few life shows, was great experience for my family of 3. Will visit again & recommended.
