As with all Buddhist shrines, there is a natural beauty and serenity going around the place. The complex has several buildings and a massive statue of Buddha located in a beautiful setting. The main hall has 3 golden Buddhas and we were fortunate to attend a Buddhist service. There is also an edifice with a massive bell and a beautifully decorated huge drum.

I like this temple. I have been here many times and I still like it. It has beautiful old Korean culture. The architecture inside the temple is very beautiful. There are many trees and a large parking lot.?

A large temple with many buildings but without the very golden and ornate decor. The overhead layer of coloured lanterns is impressive, as are the many other statues, souvenir shops and old wooden buildings. The main prayer hall was closed for festival preparations so we couldn't visit.

Bongeunsa Temple is a hidden gem in Gangnam! I stumbled upon it while exploring the area, and I'm so glad I did. The temple's peaceful atmosphere is a perfect antidote to the city's chaos. The architecture is stunning, and the gardens are beautifully maintained. I loved watching the monks going about their daily routines, adding to the temple's serene ambiance. If you're looking for a unique experience in Seoul, Bongeunsa Temple is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
