If you love hawker food and halal Western food, this is the place for you. Formerly known as Asyraf's Halal Corner, The Halal Corner serves up creative dishes that combine local and Western favourites to create something eye-catching and unique for the masses to enjoy. With dishes costing no higher than $7.50, you can get a cafe-quality meal at hawker centre prices!

Now run by a close-knit group of cousins, they've rebranded and are bringing you reimagined local favourites with a chic twist! The affordable prices are a deliberate choice, as the young team now running the cafe know what it's like to have your food burn a hole in your pocket growing up and want to be able to give back and bring affordable fusion Western fare to their customers. ?

The first thing to try is definitely the Carbonara Beef Steak Mr John ($6.50) which deservingly went viral. They're actually the first and only ones in Singapore to transform the familiar Roti John into this fusion Western blend. Beefsteak is cut into bite-sized cubes before being specially marinated till it's juicy and tender. Then it's loaded onto the bread and fried with 2 eggs before being drenched in homemade carbonara sauce and drizzled with chilli and cheese sauce. ? The soft and fluffy bread goes so well with the creamy sauce, and the tender beef is different from the usual minced meat!

They also have a range of fusion pasta including the unique Samyang Cheesy Chicken Pasta ($6.90) which is definitely not for the faint-hearted - the pasta is cooked with the spicy Samyang sauce to really bring the heat and leave your mouth numb. It’s then topped with a huge serving of breaded chicken, cheese sauce, fries, and a fried bun that’s sure to send you into a food coma. ? Spice lovers, this is one dish you’ve got to try!

If you want the best of, well, 7 worlds, the Pasta Platter ($30) is definitely the one for you. Good thing they've extended this menu beyond Ramadan as it's definitely a crowd-pleaser for a weekend lunch with your family, or if you're having a mini gathering at home during this period. With multiple choices of mains like their Lemak Chilli Padi Pasta (reserved for Yishun outlet), Aglio Olio (reserved for Bedok outlet), Samyang Pasta, meat and cheesy fries to top it all off, you can have a feast right at home! The menu is available for online orders, takeaway and pre-orders for self-collection.

The Halal Corner is definitely a breath of fresh air in the local Western foodie scene, and we can’t wait to see what other exciting dishes they come up with in the future! Westies can look forward to an outlet near them really soon, as they're in the works of coming to Jurong this month. Time for a different Western hawker food experience ?
