It'll be hard to bid farewell to our favourite attractions in Tokyo, especially this one. Known for its Instagram-worthy and mesmerising art installations, teamLab Borderless in Odaiba, Tokyo will be closing its doors on 31 August 2022.

As reported by Time Out Tokyo, the news comes after a series of closures from major tenants like Zepp Tokyo and Venus Fort at Palette Town complex, where teamLab Borderless is located. It is reported that the closure of Palette Town complex will pave the way for a major waterfront development in the area.

However, the museum closure in Odaiba doesn't signify a permanent end for teamLab Borderless in Tokyo! The world's most visited museum will find a new home in the city centre in 2023. teamLab Borderless has yet to reveal their new location and opening date to the public, but we're definitely looking forward to seeing bigger and better things from them once it's safe to travel abroad again.
