Established in March 2021, Super Air Jet is a low-cost airline based in Jakarta that promises premium flying experience with high connectivity and competitive prices. 1. Flight routes

As of July 2021, Super Air Jet offers 10 domestic flight routes departing from Soekarno-Hatta Cengkareng International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta, Indonesia. It covers destinations like Palembang, Pekanbaru, Medan Kualanamu, Pontianak, Padang, Batam, Mataram, Surabaya, Denpasar, and Banjarmasin.

2. Price

Starting at Rp. 252,000 (USD17.35), Super Air Jet offers competitive airfares that are affordable to frequent flyers. At the time of writing, the cheapest airfare is from Jakarta to Palembang whereas the most expensive airfare is from Jakarta to Kualanamu priced at IDR536,000 (USD36.91). For popular routes like Jakarta to Denpasar, the average airfare is IDR426,000 (USD29.34).

3. Target market

Vibrant and youthful, Super Air Jet aims to appeal to young travellers and millennials. Besides offering competitive flight rates, Super Air Jet also promises advanced in-flight technology. In a press statement, Super Air Jet CEO Ari Azhari shared that they're ready to accommodate the travel needs of young tourists and business travellers. "The millennials have become the company's main focus as we accommodate the air travel segment that have seen massive growth in various countries, including Indonesia."

4. Affiliate

Super Air Jet received funds worth Rp 968 billion (USD$66.5 million) from owner Lion Air Group. Redi Irawan, who serves as Super Commissioner Air Jet is also the Operational Director of Wings Air, which is a subsidiary of Lion Air Group. However, it is not certain whether the management and operations of Super Air Jet are carried out under the auspices of the Lion Air Group.

5. Type of aircraft

In the initial stage of operations, Super Air Jet will operate 3 units of Airbus 320-200 with a capacity of 180 passengers. Airbus 320-200 is also known to be fuel efficient, which will help to maintain flight costs as the global aviation industry braves through the pandemic.
