Can I Travel To Europe With Sinovac Vaccine?

Can I travel to Europe with Sinovac?

As of July 2021, the European Union (EU) has confirmed that all individuals who have received COVID-19 vaccines approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO) are allowed to enter Europe. These vaccines include:

• Pfizer/BioNtec
• Oxford/AstraZeneca
• Johnson & Johnson/Janssen
• Moderna
• Sinopharm
• Sinovac

As long as you have been vaccinated with any of the brands above, you'll be approved for entry into Europe. This was cleared by the EU following reports that the EU Digital COVID-19 Vaccination Passport would only be issued to those who received vaccines approved by the EU (Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Janssen).

What is an EU COVID-19 Vaccine Passport?

Also recognized as the EU Digital COVID Certificate (EUDCC), this vaccine passport is a digital proof that a person has either:

• Been vaccinated against COVID-19
• Received a negative test result
• Recovered from COVID-19

Since 1 July 2021, the EUDCC has officially been effect in 21 EU Member States and three non-EU Schengen Area countries. The digital vaccine passport is available to only EU citizens (and those in Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein) as well as non-EU nationals living legally in member states.
