Singapore Airlines is giving their Premium Economy Class a fabulous makeover! From March 31, Muslim travellers will get to treat themselves to a broader selection of appetisers, main dishes, and desserts! Plus, there's a cherry on top: eco-friendly amenity kits to make your flight even more comfortable and sustainable.

This big refresh is all about enhancing your flight experience, as it's the first major update since the Premium Economy Class was introduced in 2015. The airline has been all ears, gathering feedback from travellers like you to make sure they're hitting the mark.

Yeoh Phee Teik, the airline's Senior Vice President of Customer Experience, shared that they're always looking to evolve and improve, ensuring that your journey is nothing short of extraordinary. They've whipped up new recipes for 48 appetisers, 175 mains, and 34 desserts, including some yummy new dishes and improved versions of old favourites.

Fancy a pre-flight meal selection? Their Book The Cook service is expanding with nine new options, including beef bourguignon and vegan-friendly delights like mushroom eggplant meatballs. They haven’t forgotten about special dietary needs or the little travellers, either, with more options and snacks for kids and special meals tailored for various dietary requirements.

Some of the Muslim-friendly dishes include:

  • Pancakes with Maple Syrup and Scrambled Eggs
  • French Toast
  • Herb-crusted Fish Fillet
  • Singapore Fried Carrot Cake
  • Spiced Chicken Nasi Biryani
  • Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken
  • Mee Siam Goreng
  • Unagi Don

Do note that the 'Book the Cook' service only applies to the main course selection. For halal meals, we recommend selecting from SIA's wide range of Special Meals to better suit your needs.

And the improvements don't stop with the food! The presentation will take your breath away, with meals served on stylish, sustainable porcelain and stoneware, all beautifully arranged on a linen-lined tray. It’s not only about looks; this new serviceware is practical, keeping your food warmer for longer and being kinder to our planet.

Now, let's talk about those new amenity kits. In partnership with Out Of The Woods, Singapore Airlines is introducing kits made from eco-friendly materials. Think kraft paper fabric pouches and recycled PET material slippers and eyeshades, with a touch of eco-conscious luxury like biodegradable lip balm. These kits, designed for longer flights, ensure you'll land feeling refreshed and ready to explore.

Isn't it wonderful how Singapore Airlines is stepping up its game? Your next Premium Economy flight will be a feast for the senses and a step forward for sustainability. Bon voyage!
