After asking the hotel lobby, it is on the x4 and x9 date days in the calendars. There were street food, fruits, vege, fresh meat and fresh fish sales, preserved side dishes, dried goods, clothes. Nice local market to check out for the sheer size of it! Opens till 7pm.... but by 5.30pm stalls were starting to pack up.

So far my favorite Jeju market! Every 5th day of the month, so many vendors, so much merchandise! I came for the food ? And I was not disappointed. Mostly indoors, this is a much more user-friendly market (compared to others such as Dongmun). Aisles are wide and you can walk more freely as you shop, eat, and... So many: -Food stalls and restaurants galore! -Produce markets -Clothes and shoes shops -Accessories and handbags -Houseware and Hardware shops -Linens and blankets -Sewing shops -Dried goods and spices -Candies and snacks -Animals - mostly small pets Much more Veg options! ?? Walking and shopping was a pleasant experience And the prices are much more reasonable here. I prefer this market much more than the ones in Jeju City and the west side. It's a bit of a stretch to reach, but well worth the trek. Bring your appetite and be ready to shop! Lots of outdoor parking available and the bus stop is just steps away.

This special traditional market is only open on the 4th, 9th, 14th, 19th, 24th and 29th each month or every five days. It is a very interesting market to visit. There are many stalls selling fresh vegetables, fruits, seafood, grains, clothes, hats, agricultural products and other miscellaneous goods. Do not miss the food stalls selling various types of local Korean food. The food sold here must be very delicious, judging from the big crowd of customers around them. Entrance is free of charge. It is accessible by public buses. It is certainly worth a visit if you are in Seogwipo on the dates it is open.
