This is the second time I have been to this market. I really enjoy the variety of things you see. There are a lot of different food you can try while you walk along the market. I especially enjoy finding a lot of souvenirs to purchase.

This bustling market in Seogwipo City is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the vibrant culture and delicious food of Jeju Island. We had an amazing time exploring the vibrant stalls and sampling all sorts of unique and delicious treats. Here's a closer look at some of our favorites: Jesong Bakery: This bakery was a real gem! We couldn't resist the allure of their freshly baked goods, especially the scallion and lemon garlic bread. It was soft, flavorful, and only 4,000 won! Kitty especially loved it. Ddangkongmandu: This stall specializes in peanut dumplings, which are a local specialty. We couldn't resist trying them! The peanut filling was creamy and flavorful. The real star was the wrapper itself, a unique blend of peanuts and black pork that added an extra layer of flavor and texture to the dumpling. We originally planned to order a set of four, but the owner was kind enough to sell us just two for 4,000 won (the set of four was 7,000 won). A great deal. Red Lobster Cheese Grill: This street food vendor offers a dramatic and fun dining experience. The vendor uses a blowtorch to cook the lobster, adding cheese on top. It's a fun presentation! Kitty loved the lobster cooked with a blowtorch and cheese, but I found the flavor a normal. Chansil Cheju: This fruit stall caught our eye because Kitty was craving Mandarin oranges. We bought a large one for 10,000 won, but sadly forgot it in our hotel fridge. We did get to try a sample, though, and Kitty loved it. Joeksim: This Japanese-style grill restaurant is a must-try for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic meal. They have a great selection of grilled dishes, including the Beef (Wagyu) Hamburg & Tcukune, the Tcukune (Beef Wagyu Hamburg), the Pickled Tomato Basil with Cream Cheese, the Shiitake Mushrooms, and the Green Onions. They also offer a great selection of drinks, including Kirin brand of beer that we enjoyed. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff was friendly and helpful, even though the restaurant was packed. Negeori Hotdog: This stall was so popular, with a long queue. We decided to join the fun. The staff recommended the abalone hodoek, which was delicious. We were happy we decided to wait in line for it. Overall, the Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the vibrant culture and delicious food of Jeju Island. It's a great place to wander, try new things, and find unique souvenirs. We highly recommend this market to anyone visiting Seogwipo City.

Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market is full of life and local charm! It’s always buzzing with energy—crowded in the best way, with a vibrant atmosphere that makes you want to explore every corner. There’s a fantastic variety of local street food, fresh produce, souvenirs, and small eateries. From hotteok to grilled seafood, everything smells amazing and tastes even better. It’s a great place to soak in local culture and try some authentic Jeju flavors. If you’re in the south of Jeju, this market is definitely worth a visit. Go hungry!

Our first time to Jeju and first time to this market. What a wonderful experience! The market was very lively, colourful and charming. Lots and lots of fresh seafood and produce, very enticing. If only we're staying at a place with a kitchen! A good place to get souvenirs too.

This is one of the most clean, balance of wet and dry market I ever seen. Perhaps my favourite market in Jeju. There are a lots of hidden gem here, a shop who sell steam bun for example. Look for it. There are also many souvenir shops are worth looking up. Some price are negotiable.
