Yes, you can actually sleep in a SBS bus in Singapore very soon: 20 decommissioned public buses will be getting a new lease of life as rooms for a new resort to be built in Changi Village by April 2023 ?

Tentatively called “The Bus Resort”, it will occupy over 8,600 square metres of land at the vacant state land next to Changi Village Hawker Centre! This project is helmed by travel agency WTS Travel.
Yesterday (28th August), the plan was unveiled at a ceremony attended by Dr Maliki Osman, grassroots adviser for Siglap and an MP for East Coast GRC. Perhaps this is part of the East Coast plan too? ?

You won't be sleeping in seats - each bus-turned-room will have 28 sqm of floor space, and will be well furnished. Looking at the pictures, it really looks as if you're in a comtemporary hotel in Orchard ?
There are also other features to look forward to such as bathtubs, and a 15 sq m area outside each room that can be used for barbecues. It comes at a significantly high cost though - each room will be priced at around $300 to $400 per night! ?

Sustainability is a key part of this resort, where the resort will not affect the animals and surrounding ecosystem. Additionally, mature trees on the location of the resort will not be cut down. The resort will be located near the Changi East Boardwalk - as well as the Changi Point Ferry Terminal, which offers boat rides to Pulau Ubin - which is truly a perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life ?
