Luckily, KL has plenty of romantic places which provide the perfect backdrop for couples with its gorgeous city lights and various attractions. Who says romance needs to stop during a pandemic? Just be sure to practice social distancing if you’re in a crowded space ? Here, we’ve gathered a list of romantic spots for lovebirds that would surely spark some romance fuel.

1. KL Tower’s Sky Box

Not for the faint-hearted, KL Tower’s Sky Box is the perfect spot for couples who don’t mind a bit of a thrilling experience! This transparent glass box stands about 300 metres above ground but offers a breathtaking bird's eye view of the city. You may have to share the view with other visitors at once but the awesome background makes for a perfect photo op indeed. Imagine popping the big question in this setting!

Opening hours: 10am to 10pm

Rate: The entrance to the Sky Box is included in the tickets for the Observation deck at KL Tower. Malaysians pay RM75 (adults) and RM39 (kids); tourists pay RM105 (adults) and RM55 (kids).

2. Atmosphere 360

Besides the Sky Box, KL Tower is also home to a popular restaurant, called the Atmosphere 360. At 282 metres high up, the restaurant rotates 360 degrees at a slow pace to give you a panoramic view of the city.

This could be the perfect place to enjoy stunning views of KL while indulging in great food and great company.

3. Perdana Botanical Gardens

Planning a romantic day out doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot of money. The Perdana Botanical Gardens situated right in the heart of the city is the perfect place, especially for nature lovers, who would be down for a romantic stroll or picnic surrounded by lush greenery.

4. KLCC Park

The KLCC Park, which is only a short walk from Suria KLCC is a popular tourist attraction but it also makes for a perfect place to take an evening stroll while enjoying the scenic views of the Petronas Twin Towers. Also, if you’re in the area at night, make your way towards the Suria KLCC man-made Lake Symphony to catch the magical water fountain shows which showcase a magical performance of light, sound and water!

5. River of Life

Go for a romantic evening riverside walk at the River of Life, which is a historic area that has been transformed into a beautiful waterfront. The River of Life as locals know it is a project by the government to beautify the iconic Klang River located near the Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad. It’s best to come at night, so you can witness a stunning visual experience as you walk along the river stretch. Cobalt blue lighting will turn the river into a ‘Blue Pool’ and you can also witness the Dancing Symphony Fountain where the waters sprout and sync to various songs. Truly a perfect way to end a romantic night!
