1. Food items to have on hand for easy sahur and iftar meals
For many, having quick, go-to foods is a must for Ramadan so that we won’t have to wake up super early to prepare our sahur meals (Ramadan breakfast) ? In addition, given the current situation, many people will be cooking up their iftar meals at home too. So make sure you’re stocked up on food and other pantry staples that will make it easy for you to prepare your meals.
2. Items for all your ibadah at home needs
It’s definitely saddening that we won’t be able to visit the mosques in Singapore during Ramadan this 2020, but the silver lining is that we can seize this opportunity to reap the benefits of performing our ibadah at home, such as doing congregational prayers (including terawih prayers) with our family, protecting our home, and having more time for introspection ?
3. Cooking and baking items to whip up your own Ramadan bazaar treats and kuih raya
Missing your favourite Ramadan Bazaars goodies and store-bought kuih raya? We feel you! It’s a festive part of Ramadan for many, and while we’ll be missing it this year, we can change it up for Ramadan in Singapore this 2020 and whip up some of those food items right at home! Cooking and baking are also great activities to do while you’re home that can help boost the Raya mood through these trying times.
