9A Bishan St 14, Singapore 579786
Calm and beautiful place and an awesome view of the ground. Masjid is big enough to hold many people for regular and Friday prayers. Got multiple storeys as well. Got underground parking. Nearby the bus stop "Bishan Stadium" (53269). Bus services (53 & 410).
Serene, peaceful and windy mosque. It has a nice open style and it's right next to Bishan stadium. Toilets are super clean as well. Amazing job by management. Most of all, the Imam and young and has a beautiful recitation.
We stopped by for a quick prayer and were pleasantly surprised at one of the exhibit areas. This mosque in Bishan has a surprise that we didn't expect. When we entered, there wasn't any special aspects that we feel it that could attract. But boy, were we wrong, a section stood out and we knew we had read the impressions wrong earlier. There is an exhibit that really piqued our interest and we do feel that there is a need to let others know bout it too. There is a board on one of the displays showing a brief overview of life after Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and others exemplary Muslims, which also include Cheng Ho. Do see and check out the photos/ videos.. We wanted to share more here but the best is for a stop here and check out what they have put up. The effort is remarkable and definitely worth a visit, especially for our younger generations. All in all, it is a peaceful mosque, with a stadium field beside it. Nothing much standing out but do note there is limited carpark lots ya. Check out our attachments for a quick reference. But we do feel that these images doesn't do enough to showcase what they have. So go on there...and by being there, you will understand that it surpasses the expectations of what we upload here. So ya, cheers!
This mosque is the sixth one to be built under Phase III of the Mosque Building Fund programme to serve the needs of the Muslim community around the Bishan area. The mosque complex also houses MUIS's Harmony Centre where visitors could learn of the Muslim Community and Islam as practiced in multi-cultural Singapore. Being the first of its kind in a Singapore mosque, the 2-storey Harmony Centre showcases exhibits, artifacts and information on Islamic civilisation and lifestyle. Contemporary issues in Islam and Inter-faith understanding will also be a feature at the Centre through talks and activities. The Centre is scheduled to be opened to all in October 2006.
New Review(2nd) Assamauailikum wrb As I am quite a regular Jemaah at Masjid An-Nahdhah hence my comments as follows: An amazing Masjid that reflects true hospitality and exhumes a great service culture with a smile. You have volunteer Hj. Yusop( another ambassador of Masjid An-Nandha besides Puan Siti aa mentioned in my first review) who will welcome any Jemaahs from all walks of life, not only to Singaporeans. There are also three of local men volunteers and two more regular foreign volunteers who I can't recall their names( my apology) are wonderful in their service to the Mosque and Jemaahs. The Mosque Manager Ustaz Zulhim(in the centre picture) also makes an effort to greet anyone in the mosque when he sees them. For me personally Ustazs of this nature will stand out as like any buisness organisation, Mosque is also about hospitality. I know now why many Jemaahs do go to the mosque. Listen to this, during Ramadan, I was shocked that after Taraweeh prayers (alhamdulillah for having 20 +3 witr Rakayats for most of the days), the mosque still open for Zakat payment daily, till 10.30 pm.Wow wow wow. MashaAllah ?. Sacrificing man hours in the best month of the year, Ramandan. Alhamdulillah. Last but not least , in one of the Ramadan evenings, in a congregation prayer, a gentleman lead the prayers. He leads the prayers with consistency, steady pace and I feel a fulfillement that I had completed my prayer with quality and not rushing. His name is Imam Hj.Rasi. People know him as the handsome man discipline master. Wait till you see Imam's smile ?. Don't get me wrong there are some other Ustazs/Imam that has a steady pace, but Iman Hj.Rasi's tone somehow gets anyone's attention. Sorry I wanted to have Imam Hj. Rasi in the group picture, but Imam was camera shy. I have gone to about 28 mosques to date, still more to go, I have to say Mosque An-Nandhah ranks in the top 3 of all the mosques that I have been to so far, if not the best, in service. Thank you to the the team for your hospitality. Keep going, keep improving and keep educating.
