A mall just outside Bishan MRT, has been around for a long time and went through expansion. It's an older mall, but has been revamped. There are good variety of shops, but the mall is not the kind that you get attached to or become as destination. It has nothing special, doesn't feel and look special. It's functional and convenient because it's close to the MRT, and you probably can find things you need here. I know it's an odd thing to say, but in Singapore, mall is kind of a necessity, as it's not common to find mom-and-pop store anymore, and sometimes ordinary market is not conveniently located.

Junction 8 above Bishan MRT Station, has changed and improved beyond recognition. I have not been to this area of Singapore for over 10 years. There are two MRT Lines using Bishan as interchange station, plus the BIshan Bus interchange. This makes Junction 8 a convenient shopping mall for those who live in nearby estates, and others who just change mode of transport here.

The mall is simple with a handful of clothing stores, a cinema, a food court, restaurants, and the Public Bishan Library is right around the corner of the mall. You can also walk outside on the 1st floor and walk through to the bus station, and then library and other smaller stores and another outdoor food court. Location is decent as there’s a handful of stores in and out of the mall, near big and smaller bus stations, the Bishan MRT, and more. Not the best mall I’d say in all of Singapore but it’s still very nice and comfortable.

As a Bishan resident of 10 years, I’m no stranger to this mall. It’s good and all but just cramped… Also, the toilets need improvement. Some renovation work is beneficial. Oh and please do not visit the golden village here - there are better cinemas in the rest of Singapore.

Junction 8 is an established neighborhood mall that has stood the test of time. Accessibility is one of its strongest points. The mall is seamlessly connected to both the North-South and Circle MRT lines, as well as a major bus interchange, making it extremely convenient to reach. Food options at Junction 8 are abundant, ranging from affordable and tasty food court fare to a variety of restaurants suitable for more celebratory or casual dining. Whether you're running errands, meeting friends, or grabbing a quick bite, Junction 8 has something for everyone. Overall, Junction 8 remains a dependable, convenient, and welcoming mall that continues to meet the diverse needs of its visitors.
